 got mine from Babies R Us.. i think it was $30 on sale.. worked out fine for a while, and survived 3 years until my SIL's dog ate it...

I got mine from walmart, but not the $40 kolcraft one....mine is a sealy, and cost....id like to say somewhere between $50-60.

I actually got mine from freecycle.org.  Someone had posted that they had a crib mattress they were getting rid of, so I responded that I would like it.  It is in very good shape, with no rips or tears, so all I did was use some lysol cleaner on it to make sure it was clean.  I've gotten lots of baby clothes (and clothes for my older kids) on freecycle.  and I've given away lots of things they have outgrown.  Its wonderful.

Yay! This gives me hope!! I didn't think we spent that much on our son's mattress but I kept thinking they were like $100.

We got a Sealy one that cost roughly 75.

 I paid like $100 for mine at BRU and I like it.  Crib mattresses are pretty much all the same thing. They are all firm
