Well i have been having kidney problems since day one with this baby and i have been in and out of the hospital with kidney problems well i started running a temp on monday and by that evening i was in the hospital on many meds and ivs. My dr said that my right kidney was severly infected and i would have to stay in the hospital on meds to get rid of the infection for three days well on wednesday i went in for my second scan and they told me that my kdney was way worse and if it didnt resolve i would be having the baby the next day. OMG was i scared well they put me on more meds and got a new round of dr's in there and i was told that i had to have a stent put in my kidney to help it drain.....they scheduled that for thursday and after being npo all day they finnally let me eat and resumed it for friday...well i was npo all friday and finally went in friday at 4pm and had the procedure....and omg i would rather have the kidney pain then have a stent placement.....they told me that even with stent placemnt every 4 wks my kidney would not be able to last the pregnancy and just to get ready to have a early delivery....so now i dont know what to do....i have three kids at home and a husband that works all day and not much help with the kids and now they are telling me that i will have a preemie on top of all this and a kidney that doesnt want to do its job...gees....i know that life can get harder but gees this is enough for now....i have a daughter that has RA and RP and a son that has PDD and a 8 year old in the middle of all this......sorry to vent and make it this long but i had to get it out...thanks for listening

My friends wife has a stent and they told her the same thing but when she talked to the Maternal Fetal Specialist, he told her that with the stent and the right antibiotics, she would do fine. She just had to watch what she ate, drank and picked up. She had this done at 23 weeks, she delivered at 35 weeks.
