sex drive

Hey ladies! I'm new to the group, and I have a quick question. I am barely 6 weeks pregnant with my second, and I have NO sex drive what so ever, and it's kinda annoying. I was crazy before I got pregnant, but now I could care less!! I hate it for DH. Yesterday was our 6th anniversary, and there was NOTHING because I just couldn't get in the mood. I'm not scared about having a mc, or bleeding, or whatever. I just don't feel like having sex. Is that normal? I have heard from friends that when they've been pregnant, they want sex 24/7...right now I feel like I could go the whole 9 months without him even touching me. :( poor guy

with my first one i wanted to all the time but with this one...i dont really! its nice to a couple times a month but not like i normally would! i think its normal and it just depends on your hormones. Dont stress it.  My only advice is dont try to make it happen if your not in the mood cause that makes it ten times worse...then you will be stressin.

It really depends.. My first I was sex crazy in the first trimester then flat lined.. My second, NOT wanting it AT ALL.. I think it just depends on the pregnancy really.

mine has varied throughout the pregnancy, it was pretty much non-existent in the beginning, but as i got into the 2nd trimester it came back a little, but still I went through surges of wanting it and not wanting it...

It's more common to have a hyper sex drive when you are pregnant with a son (more testostrone), but around the 6 week mark, you body has an estrogen surge which can account for the loss. It might get better as things even out. Good luck!

It increases it for some and demolishes it for others poor hubby.  There are other things you can do to please him

I am kinda going threw the same thing.  Dh and I had a GREAT sex life but then I have had spotting, so we aren't doing anything at all till I am further along. I have no desire at all. I guess the idea that it could hurt the baby turns me off. Of course in most pregnancy's, it is totally safe.  Hopefully your sex drive will come back in the 2nd trimester.

It's normal. Don't stress it. Hopefully things will get better by the 12 week mark. Usually things lighten up.(ie: morning sickness, etc) My sex drive has picked up, but I can tell you I felt bad for my husband, but now being closer to 12 weeks, I feel much more frisky. LOL. Just remember to not compare your NOW sex life, with your before you were pregnant sex life, you're going through changes. Until then, let him know his hand and porn might be a good option? LOL.
