I have a cold and keep getting crud at the back of my throat.  It has kept me up for 2 nights.  I am constantly coughing and sometimes cough til I puke.  Any ideas of what to do to help it?  I know there is a cough syrup I can take, but that kind of stuff makes me throw up so I don't want to do that.  I am also not a tea person.  Help?

there is a medicine called drixoral that you can take during pregnancy. Its a cold and allergy medicine that works wonders!

Hot shower cough all that crap up! I'm just getting over a similar cold (after 2 weeks) I did Afrin severe conjestion nasal spray, cough drops only occasionally but once the nose was good the cough wasn't so bad!

I am doing better.  Got a decent night of sleep last night.  Coughed for a while, but once I was out I was out for most of the night.

My advice is to get a Neti Pot and rinse your sinuses with a saline solution. It will empty out the snot so there is no drip or congestion. No need for medications that only mask symptoms and can cause a cold to linger around for a few days longer.
