Sleep or encourage?

Which would be a "better idea" when dealing with prodromal labor-  try and sleep or encourage things along? Half of me says sleep because if things are going to keep moving along they will regardless of if you sleep and you will be glad for the rest while in labor, and half says try and encourage things (by walking, getting on a birthing ball, ect) and get things moving so it won't take as long.

What do you think/would you do/have you done?

Sleep. I've had this for several days now, and I'm trying to sleep normally. But like this morning I've been up since 5:00 and I can't sleep at all. Besides walking I really don't know what else to do to encourage it along.

Sleep when ever you can.  You will need your rest when the time comes also you want that baby to stay a few more weeks.
