Lost part of my mucus plug tonight -I am 21 weeks

It was gross but that's definitely what it was. Worries me because this hasn't happened with my other two pregnancies and they mentioned the placenta previa. I know that you can lose it throughout pregnancy and it will regenerate. It's just never happened to me before.

Has this happened to you this pregnancy or any before?

I did at 15 weeks and ended up in the hospital with bleeding and contractions a few hours later- take it EASY and I'd call your Dr. It could be nothing and regenerate, or it could be something. I'm now 35 weeks (WOOT!) so it doesn't necessarily mean worst case-scenario. Hope its nothing, >hugs<

I lost my plug at 32 or 33 weeks, it grew back and I lost it again around 38 weeks, and had her at 40 weeks and 6 days.  I don;t know if the implications are different with placenta previa, though.  Good luck!

Was it bloody or just mucus?

I'm just wondering because even though I am on my fourth pregnancy I just don't really remember ever losing my mucus plug with any of my kids!

This time however, I do seem to have globs of mucus everytime I wipe after going to the bathroom, but it's not bloody at all.  Is that part of the plug?  I am 28 weeks and have a lot of braxton hicks, but nothing else.

Anyway, I hope all is well for you! :-)
