Frozen pads for post-partum healing

I have been looking all over for the post (I think it was in this group) that talked about freezing sanitary pads for after birth.  I know they had witch hazel and possibly lavender in them.  Does anyone know where I could find the directions for them?  I'm trying to get things ready since I only have 3 weeks till my edd.

My ob recommended using those for the vaginal varicose veins---never thought to use them after she was born! LOL
