Does acupressure work?

OK, so here's the deal. My Dr. is inducing me on Mon. (9th). I really, really want to go into labor naturally if I can, to avoid pitocin. So I have been looking around on internet and I am seeing lots about acupressure and that is supposed to work really well to induce labor within 48 hours of doing it.

Has anyone that has already had their babies ever tried this? If so did it work?

I have been feeling aweful all day, really weak and shakey I guess kinda flulike. Also lost mucus plug (tmi), so I am hoping these are signs labor is soon to come too.

I haven't tried acupressure, although I did try massage therapy unsuccessfully. Good luck!!

I thought for sure someone would have tried it? No?

Yes.   I have used it on moms already in labor with the L & D nurses consent, lol.    Never on my own.
I did have acupuncture when I wasn't in labor, though.   That didn't work.

Why are you planning a medical induction?   Can you push it out or even cancel it?
