To Reward or not to reward?

How do you reward good behavior? Do you use food? Toys? Have you found yourself using blackmail (however petty)?

We just point out that it is good behavior and we appreciate it, and that is about it.  I don't want my DD to think that the only time to be good is if you want something, or that you only get treats for being good.
