Both actually.  I'm doing my prenatal care with my OB because my insurance covers it but i'm paying out of pocket for a water birth at a birth center with a midwife. I love both of them!

I'm seeing an OB right now. But that's because I had cervical cancer.

Still TTC but with my son it was an OB. When I get pregnant again I will see an OB till they insurance will cover a midwife then Im switching over so I can VBAC

I am seeing my RNP and when it's time to have the baby I will have a midwife that's OVERLY qualified.  I'm excited.

lol~ great debate!

For normal-healthy pregnancies, I vote: the midwifery model of care!
:-D

It's safer overall and moms are more likely to have more satisfaction.
I am all about that!

I have even considered doing my own care but midwife would be good, my Ob is great but he is a diamond in the rough.

I am going to an OB and love their office - wouldn't change for the world.

I have a wonderful OB. I've used him for all 3 of my pregnancies.
