I had posted yesterday about a test that the positive line had disappeared on after a while and everyone said it was still positive (it was just a cheap $1 one). Last night I took a clear blue and easy, which is the one in the pic here and it is clearly positive (really faint, but its there). I took another cheap one this morning just to double check and it was neg. I know I can't be no more than a few weeks, but I was expecting it to be darker this morning not neg. I will just take another one in a few days I guess. This is my 4th kid and I have never had it be neg after a positive. What do yall think?

*edit* I went to the doc and the test there was neg.  He would not do a blood test because he said you are not pregnant it was neg.  I can though have one done at my obs.  I have taken 3 home ones since this test and they have all been neg.  So i am assuming it was just wrong.  I am going to wait a few weeks and then take one more just to be sure. So i guess I am not pregnant.

If it was a different test and are close to having missed your period I wouldn't pay it much mind.
The levels in your urine might not have been high enough for that test to detect. Test again in a few days but I would rely on the clear blue test!

They probably test at different levels. Cheap ones usually don't detect until 50 whereas a clear blue is probably 20-25...

I got a BFP on the blue die test and another on a $1 test. Was so excited...I felt totally preggo!!! Went in for blood work to confirm and it was negative. At first they told me it was most likely an ealy MC but after looking more closely at my numbers they said they were 0 so I hadn't been preggo at all :(

It could be the same thing has happened to you or you could of had an early MC!!

If you had two positives, you are pregnant :)

Here is a chart...you can see the sensitivity of each of the test you took...maybe it will help you figure out things:

Tell me about the various Internet tests you've used!

This chart applies only to brands sold in the United States. May differ abroad.
This information is, to the best of my knowledge/research, accurate and current as of September 2006.

Remember, all tests have the potential for evaporation lines.
False positives are very rare, but can happen.
My recommendations are based on overall reputation, reader input, and my own experiences/experiments; even good tests have the odd complaint.

Click on a brand name for brand-specific pics (positives, evaporation lines, defective tests), test instructions, and recommendations/comments.

See the HPT Showdown for a side-by-side comparison of 15 brands!
