i know that if you have given birth before, your cervix may never close completely afterwards. does that apply if you get pregnant again too? or no matter how many kids you have,the cervix closes completely once you get pregnant again? thanks!

It depends some will close tightly others will close mostly it really doesn't matter so long as it is closed mostly which it will be

No idea. I've never heard that before. I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my second and assuming my cervix is closed...? lol

um not sure i just had my second baby 3 weeks ago and at my last check up 4 days befor i deievered my midwife told me my cervix was completely closed.  I ended up with anther c-section So i dont know but heres a BUMP

just had my second and mine was closed. he actually stayed put longer than my first.

hmm i wonder if maybe it can vary from woman to woman than? guess ill call an ob and ask! thanks for the replies ladies!

I'm not sure. My doctor has never said one way or the other and I've had four kids.

i tore my cervix with my first. a year later i got the iud. i had it in for 5 yrs and had it removed to get pregnant. im 32 weeks preg and my cervix is completely closed

I just had my second and I never dialated until my induction.

I guess it depends. With DD2 I dialated early (2.5 cm at 28-30wks) but with DD3 I didn't dialate till I was in labor, before then I was a 0 high and tight.
