as far as i know it shouldn't hurt the baby.. I get plauged with them when I ovulate.. I just wouldn't think that the fluid there would hurt the baby.. I had no idea what the pain was the first time I had burst on me.. horrible.

Good luck and will you let me know what your doc says?

I get terrible cysts around my periods

But your body will produce a normal cyst during pregnancy that usually disappears before 15 weeks. Can't remember the term - but mine felt the same. It was very tender and painful then just went away on it's own.

I had one burst at like 8 weeks. Horrible freaking pain. I didn't know what it was so I went to the ER. Everything was fine with baby and the pain was totally gone in a couple days.
