I KNOW IT SOUNDS TERRIBLE TO POST THIS. BUT I AM AFRAID THIS PREGNANCY IS DOOMED. I HAD A 6 WEEK US YESTERDAY AND THEY DID NOT SEE A HB. SHE THINKS SHE SAW A FETAL POLE BUT IT WAS VERY SMALL. LATER IN THE DAY I HAD BLOOD WORK..MY LEVELS WENT UP..BUT NOT BY MUCH...THEY DEFINITELY DID NOT DOUBLE. AND MY PROGESTERONE WENT DOWN. I HAD A D & C LAST MARCH BECAUSE OF A BLIGHTED OVUM AND WE WERE SO HAPPY WITH THIS PREGNANCY. NOW I FEEL SO SAD AND UNHAPPY....I ALMOST FEEL LIKE IM LOSING MY FAITH IN GOD. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SO FAITHFUL AND CHRISTIAN..BUT IVE HAD ONE DISASTER AFETR ANOTHER DURING THE PAST ELEVEN YEARS...AND NOW THIS. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE? TELL ME THERE'S HOPE FOR THIS PREGNANCY?

I have talked to a lot of people who said early on it was hard to see the pole and that there wasn't a hb. just try to relax. I know...not easy. i felt the same way because i wasn't ever going to be able to have kids and then bam i was preggers. I swore up and down that with the cramps, 4 different moves and more stress than i've ever had in my life, including someone trying to fight me when i was like 6 weeks... i was convinced it wouldn't last. you just have to be patient.

OUR DAUGHTER IS DUE ON JAN. 26th!!!

I went to the ER at 6 weeks with this pregnancy because I was in pain. They did an ultrasound and they couldn't see a heartbeat either. They said it's really hard to pick up then. But, I'm 34 weeks along now. So don't give up hope!

What's a pole? Anyway, I am so sorry you are going throug this. Don't lose hope- my friend went through 3 misscarriages back to back before the 4th one was a keeper. What they ended up doing was giving her a medication that maintained the hormone so it would go up- not sure what is was called, but it was given to her up until I think the 4th month and she was fine! She was always checking her levels. Hang in there- it will happen! Even after that thought she said she would not relax until she was actually holding her son in her arms- that is the phobia it creates. Even when she had ultrasounds in later pregnancy she was still worried and now she has a healthy boy- don't give up!

Are they doing another US next week? That's usually what they do. If the HB isn't heard then, I'd insist on another one at 8 wks too. Don't let them talk you into a D&C too soon.
Please don't give up on God - He is the ONLY one you can really count on - believe me! Even when something doesn't go the way you think it should, He always has something better for you around the corner if you trust in Him and allow Him to be the author of your life.
I really don't know why some babies don't make it, but God does have a reason for it all - we just aren't capable of understanding His ways sometimes.

a lot of people say that you should ignore the numbers cuz it can become an obsession and also cause you to stress out. the heartbeat a lot of times wont be checked till your 7 weeks. thats what my dr said i went in at 5 weeks and 1 day and there wasnt even a sac so the dr said hes sure all is fine my hcg levels are fine and that all pregnancy's develop differently. so relax and also dont lose faith in God. He will never give you more then you can handle. trust me i know its hard to have faith all the time but a lot of times God tests your faith and gives oppurtunitties for it to grow. Just trust in him that either this pregnancy is good or not that you know he has bigger plans for you. just our times is not the same as Gods time. Sorry not trying to preach just want you to know He is with you always. and is with the baby too. keep me posted.

Please try not to lose hope the same thing happen to me with last pregnancy and I gave birth to a healthy 8lb baby boy. They first couldn't see a sac at 5wk then at 6wk couldn't see a heart beat. My numbers were not doubling but they were increasing. At 10wk we finally seen everything and heard my baby boys heart beat.
