What do you think of this name?

Me and dh have been arguing over girl names. I love the name Ava Grace, but dh thinks Ava is more of a nickname and came up with Avalon Grace that way I can still call her Ava for short. What do you ladies think? Should I give in? I've never really heard anyone with the name Avalon.

I love it. I actually like Avalyn better (Ava-Lynn instead of Ava-lonn). But either way I love it. It's a name we're actually considering if we have a girl.

Personally, I wouldn't use the name Avalon. It's the name of a car. I like Ava much more.

I immediately think of the car when I say Avalon. Odd! Ava-lyn. Or what about Avery....you could still say Ava for short.

I love the name Avalon! I had no idea it's a car (not that it matters to me, my daughter's name will be Nova which apparently is also a car... eventually everything will be a car name, IMO :P) but it also the name of an island in Arthurian legend where the Excalibur was forged, which I think is a pretty cool association :)
