Bleeding early on in pregnancy... (Update in replies)

Has anyone ever bled early on in their pregnancy and everything been okay? My friend just found out yesterday at her doctors that she is pregnant and shortly after that appt started bleeding. Not a lot but enough to be scared and upset.

In June 2010 I had an early m/c. My heart just breaks for her. She is thinking the worst and wishes that she didn't even get a pregnancy test at the doctors because then she would have never known and just thought this was her period.

I had quite a bit of bleeding when I was about 7 weeks,  went to the er and it turned out to be a subchorionic hematoma, baby is great I am 30 weeks now!

It could just be implantation bleeding, that has happened to quite a few of my friends at around 4-5 weeks pregnant

If she had an internal exam, she could be spotting from it.  I have spotted before in early pregnancy and all was well

Update; They told her it was a chemical pregnancy or blighted ovum.
