One thing I am going to do different

Ok so my last pregnancy I saw moms talk about how they were precooking and freezing meals for when the baby came. I just kind of thought I dont need to do this. Boy was I wrong I wish I would of done this. So this time I will precook and freeze meals, because I will have a 18 month old and a newborn. No time too cook there lol. What is somthing you are doing different this time? And if you are a first time mom what is one thing you are going to do?

I will be breastfeeding. I didn't try with my son, I was terrified he wouldnt get enough and would starve and die. Now that I know how ridiculous I was for thinking that I am for sure doing it. I will also be making my own baby food. I hated feeding my son that jar crap, I just dont see how that was nutritious for him.

I just told dh this time i was going to freeze meals as well. Didn't do it when ds was born n ended up having an em. Csection. The other thing I'm doing diff is when ds was born dh ha just started a new job n wasn't able to take any Vacation time. N we couldn't afford him to not have a check. He took 2 days off. This time he's saving his pto n with FMLA( he gets it paid for as much time as he has stocked up) he will be able to take around 2 weeks off paid, which is awesome because i hafta have a csection again. So he will be a big help. When ds was born he worked overnights and slept during the day so he really wasn't around to help at all because of his shift. This time it should be much better and he will be involved!

This time I'm going to use different bottles. With my daughter I used the playtex vent air advanced bottles, and after four months they'd start leaking! I've bought bottles three times. My daughter is now ten months, and I found out I'm pregnant again about a month ago, man am I going to have my hands full! And advice on that? Or sudgestions for bottles?

As for bottle we used those too and same problem happened. I think this time I am going with all Dr. Browns Bottles. I used the 4oz ones, but didnt have them in 8oz so we used the playtex ones we had.

I breastfed. It is wonderful, but now I am pregnant again it hurts like nothing I have ever felt before. So I am starting to ween him off, and put him on formula and whole milk. Good luck with breastfeeding, and you can always take baby up to the Dr to get weighted.

i was thinking of using the Dr. Browns bottles, i really dont want to fight with plastic inserts for other bottles.

1 mom liked this
this time DH will have time off, when DS was born he just started a new job in a new state so he only had 1day off(day of birth via csection). Also had no family/friends

With a repeat csection I plan to have SIL and MIL here to help with DS and other things.

I plan to go grocery shopping before hand and precook some chili, and cheese manicoti.
