Favorite Prego Books

Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering what your favorite pregnancy books have been. I am happily enjoying Mayo Clinic's "Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy" but want to learn more and get some different perspectives so which educational books should I buy next?

Also, has anyone read any great books for pregnant women that provide meditations, prayers, positive food for thought? I am not religious, but would love to read/ practice/ recite/ contemplate some positive, loving and nurturing thoughts. Ideas??

Thank you all in advance!! I'm loving reading through all of these forums!

My favorite was the spin-off book of "What to expect when you're expecting "
I think it was called "expect the unexpected when you're expecting "

It was so great. Funny, down to earth, full of good information.

If you want actual information and education, the following are great:

So That's What They're For! (Breastfeeding Book)

Ina May Gaskin's Guide To Childbirth (This one should give you a major boost in your faith/ability to give birth)

The Thinking Woman's Guide To A Better Birth (Unbiased, factual information on both sides of the childbirthing fence, excellent read)

The Birth Partner

Birthing From Within ( AMAZING! Another must read.)
