5 days overdue and here we go! Inducing with castor oil first to see if I can get these contractions going. I've had some amnionic fluid today and a little bloody show with some mucus plug. I REALLY hope she comes out by midnight!

Has anyone else done castor oil?

And how long before you had contractions when you saw bloody show?

I have not done castor oil. But after my water broke my bloody show was about an hour after and contractions started 7-8 hours after my water and bloody show. 2 hours and 36 min after contractions started he was born. But as you know everyone is different. Good luck I hope you have baby comes today.

Why do you want to do this?
Are you weighing risks?   (if not: be aware that induction is more dangerous than spontaneous laboring)

I used castor oil! Actually exactly two years ago lol (My son's Bday is today!) It worked for me, you just have to drink waayyy more than the bottle says, and it is really painful! Your insides(intestines and such) will start contracting along with contractions from your belly, and it could cause vommitting eeew lol I didn't throw up at all and I actually didn't mind the shits, its just the pain that it gives you, no fun. I was 4 days late when I took it and had my son 27 hours later(normal time for a first mommy birth). This time I know Im not going to use it just because I dont want any induction at all, but it definatly works! GL If you have any questions feel free to ask=]

I feel it is too unsafe. I feel a baby is not a bill, they do not incur fees if they are overdue.

I won't take the risk so I've never done it.  Not even at 15 days past due

The one time I was able to labor, I felt it was too risky. I wouldn't do it now either.
