So Hubby and I just (TMI) had sex, and about 20 mins later I am leaking FLUID!!! I know it is amniotic fluid (this is my 4th, and I KNOW that smell!) I am so excited! I have been bitching and moaning for days and I finally think she is going to make her appearance. I'm not thrilled that it is Valentine's day.. But who cares! I wanna meet this little girl!! YAYYY!! So, any suggestions on when I should head to the hospital. I live 45 min away and I have to drop my 3 little boys off at my sisters. 4th pregnancy.. Hmm...

UPDATE-

So, I went to the hospital and they used the swap to test for amniotic fluid and sxaid there wasn't any.. UGHH!! I know what the stuff smells like and I am DAMN sure that it was my water! The doctor said because I waited to go in, it probably all went out and there was probably a small leak and it repaired itself. WHATEVER!! I was on the monitors for a few hours and my contractions went away, so I am now home. I am disappointed and upset. So I am going to clean my house and everything I can to hopefully make them come back. I also had an ultrasound done to check on the fluid levels and they said that everything still looks great. So that made me feel better. And my cervix is still closed, but he said it was very soft. So I am just hoping that cleaning and moving around will help. If not, I'll sleep and do it again tomorrow! I have an appointment on Friday and if nothing changes before then, he will induce me on Monday! I just really want to avoid getting induced. :( Thanks for all the continued support and advise ladies! I would be lost without a lot of you!!

They normally say to head in when the contractions are 5 mins apart for an hour. In your case I'd head in after 20-30 mins. Good luck.

lol
We were just talking about this earlier and here you are!!    ;-D

Water breaking doesn't necessarily *mean* labor so you might want to wait until it's really Time before going through all that~  you have a lot to do and a drive, but sometimes it's days or weeks after water breaks.
Do you have contractions?

Thanks Ladies! I think I should get the boys packed up. These contractions are coming fast.. I can walk and talk throug them fine, but they are coming quick and getting stronger! Eeekk.. I'm getting nervous! I am so scared I won't make it to the hospital! It's a weird fear I have always had.. :) LOL

I wish I had you here!! :) You are probably the smartest pregnancy and birthing woman I have ever spoken with! :) I think I will drop them off at my sister's (Down the road) and then come back home for a bit. I just want to know they are okay and safe and happy before I go 45 mins away! :( I hate leaving my babies!

Good luck!!! my daughter was born in less then an hour after my water broke... so i'm glad I planned on a homebirth, I never would have made it to the hospital in time.

I hope you have a safe delivery!
