im 31 weeks pregnant. i work up to 9 hours a day on my feet with no breaks. my body is killing me from standing so long and not being able to sit down. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow. do you think my doctor would put me on early maternity leave or am i going to have to deal with this for another month. my manager doesnt seem to care that i have to work for such long periods of time and even has me open with two new girls so i really do have to do all the work

I had that issue with my first- sometimes something like shoe inserts will help with the pain, but either way, it's really not pleasant.  :(

I don't feel good. :( I think its from the heat. I'm bright red and my head is pounding. :( Not good.

I hear ya. I worked 12 hour shifts at a hospital where I was on my feet 8-10 hours. Finally switched positions to a different facility working 8hrs and sitting half the time. I'm only 10w but I knew I would need it soon.
I would talk to ur dr. She will either put u on light duty with mandatory breaks or early maternity leave.
GL!

My doctor booked me off from friday - I'm a teacher and currently I'm 38 weeks along. The doctor said enough is enough, you could always give it a try.

I was working as a nurse my last pregnancy and was on my feet all day too. I bought those Dr scholls inserts and they really worked great... I still had some pain though... Idk if you have family leave but where I live you can start your leave 4 weeks before your due date, you just have to have the Dr. Sign the paperwork... I worked till the day I had the baby cuz I still felt ok, but I knew the option was there.... gl:)
