I am 18wks pregnant&my back is hurting beyond bad. I have had back problems all my life but NOTHING like this... I have tried flexeril, tylenol, hot bath, heating pad, some stretches...nothing is helping...I have been crying over 12 hours, didn't sleep last night, now taking care of a 5yr old..idk what to do. My ob said the baby is probably sitting on my back&to just deal with the pain..does anyone know ANY different tricks? Even when I tried sleeping, tried sleeping on my left side with a pillow between my legs&back... I do have Lupus&Fibromyaglia but haven't been having any problems with them my whole pregnancy so not sure if it's that or maybe that making it worse than it should be...please help..

i had a seat massager I'd use on the bed with my knees against my chest (I have scoliosis) and it worked wonders. Float  in the tub when you can!

If you find something that works let me know! I have a prescription for Lortab for my back but I obv. can't take it while I'm pregnant...boo :( The only relief I get is when I'm laying down on a heating pad...as soon as I get up or turn the pad off it hurts again!

If the baby is laying on your back, try getting on your hands and knees for a little bit. This will make him move. I also do this is baby is up in my ribs or making it hard to breath. I hope you start feeling better.

Get down on all fours and rock to help move the baby!

Get doggy style on the floor or a bed. It worked wonders for me.

what everyone else said, you've tried everything i try for my back pain.

melody likes to wedge herself up towards my ribcage now and the only thing that helps is getting in downwards facing dog position and moving her myself. try some prenatal yoga, i'm buying some this weekend because my back and hip pain is unbearable.
