I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with my front room... we havent decorated yet, just kinda set up what we had when we moved in...
i figured out that it's just so bland! everything is pretty neautral.... we have med hard wood floors, the walls are a med greenish/baige, we have a red leather chair&ottoman, we have 2 beige reclining leather sofas and the curtains are a greenish brownish (house came with the curtains..
we also dont have anything up on our walls yet either.. i REALLy wanna get our flat screen hung instead of the tv stand (which is black).. and no rug either lol
if you guys have any ideas PLEASE post them.. i'm open to just about anything, i just have to convince DH..
I agree with the above post. I like to think of myself as an awesome interior decorator....and all my inspiration comes from the one accent wall, and the throw pillows to match with a fun pattern. Then get an area rug to pull all the colors together.
Can you go shopping at some stores and just see if you can find some sample pieces that you like? Sometimes you can get a whole idea for a room by just having one 'inspiration' piece that you find.
i could.. the problem is that i'm not quite sure where to start! i think i might find a rug that i like that can tie neutral colors in with some brighter colors and go off that.....
