Pain because I'm chubby?!

I have never been over weight. I'm 5'4" and regular 118 lbs, I'm at 120lbs and 14 weeks pregnant.

Before I found out I was pregnant with my 4th I got into bad eating habits and getting a bit lazy, so I started getting this "spare tire" around my waiste. Now that I'm pregnant I get pains once in a while.. I asked my doctor about it and she said its because "things aren't as tight as they used to be" as she poked my stomach.

Is it true? Being chubby or over weight gives you pains? when she was checking for the heart beat a couple days ago with the gelly and ultrasound like device it was excruciating when she would push it into my stomach!

I think what she meant was that when you have had 4, no matter how many crunches you do, it's never going to be as tight.

yeah, usually the more kids you have, the less tight your stomach muscles and uterine muscles are. Which means you are more sensitive to feeling the aches and pains more during pregnancy. I am sure that even if you were stick skinny, you would still feel those pains. I am currently pregnant (25 weeks) with my 4th.

Well first of all, 120 pounds is not chubby. The pains could be round ligament pains. They get a lot worse with each pregnancy because everything is all stretched out.
