Another to the group

Hi ladies.

My names Krista and i'm 28yrs old pregnant with baby #1. I'm currently 7weeks along. Just found out today at my 2nd ultrasound checkup that what had started out as twins has changed to just one baby. It seems i've become one of those who is experiencing Vanishing Twin syndrome.

The good news is that we got to see the surviving babies heartbeat on the screen today! Most amazing thing ever. It felt a bit surreal. Still waiting to see what will become of the undeveloped sac though. I hear it just get absorbed by the uterus majority of the time when this occurs int he first trimester. It hadn't grown since my week 5 ultrasound (this was an emergency visit over spotting).

My husband is in the military and we're currently living abroad in Germany but are due to move back to the states (Arizona) at the end of March. Looking forward to getting meet some of you ladies :D
