I had my daughter 2 years ago in May. 8 weeks after having her I got a Mirena. I had it in for 4 months before having it removed because of feeling like I had pregnancy side effects. I've been on a low dose hormone birth control since then (almost a year and a half now) but still have a few pregnancy symptoms that never go away. Then two months ago they started getting more pronounced; I could smell things so much more easily, craving pickles and dark chocolate, feeling nauseous, but my period came and the test was negative. My period was all clots which is not usual for me, and since then (Jan. 28th) I have taken 4 tests, all were negative. Now I'm getting tender, engorged and tingly breasts, darker areolas, lots of veins getting more prominent through my skin, a serious craving for weird foods, nausea, loss of appetite, repulsion to the smell of blood which burns my nose, tons of discharge, bad mood swings, and tingling in my abdomen. I would say for certain I'm pregnant but I've been like this for months and it keeps getting stronger. My first child was practically symptomless until I missed my period and took the test at 6 weeks. Could this just be a hormone problem? Or possible pregnancy?

My husband is military and the nurse I talked to said the blood test is the same as a urine test when it comes to taking it early. Which means I have to wait until my missed period for it to be accurate. I'm really wanting to go to my old doc that I had my first child with but my insurance won't cover him :(

Probably just the birth control.

I hope so. I know since having my daughter that my hormones are completely out of wack. My old doctor is covered so I'm going to get a pregnancy test with them next week and if its still negative, I trust that they'll figure out what's wrong.

Yeah could just be hormones, I had to try a few different pills to find one that didn't mess with me...
