I am 14 weeks along with my first baby and this is all new to me. About a week ago I started having some odd pains and I want to make sure they are all normal. None of them are so severe they do much more than make me start moving a little slower for a few seconds or just annoy me. First of all, my hips hurt like deep in the joints. If I sit or stand for any legnth of time without moving, when I start to move I feel like my hips are being pushed apart for just a few steps and then it subsides to a dull ache. Also, my rear end hurts. Deep inside, like near my pelvic bones and what not. It is strictly my butt and not in my lower back at all. This pain will hit me if I do a lot of moving up and down steps or an incline, sit still for a long peirod of time, or ride down a bumpy road in a vehicle. It is more annoying than anything else and does not slow me down at all. It is just this ache that will not go away. I mentioned it to my OB at my visit yesterday and they said as long as it does not stop me and the paid is not in my abdomen or my lower back I should not worry. However, lets face it, as a first time pregnant mom to be, I am going to worry. So....please just tell me this is all normal.
It sounds pretty normal, but you could mention it to your doc just to be on the safe side. I found a warm bath or shower usually helped me with pains.
Sounds like what I have with all my pregnancy's. I see an chiropractor and massage therapist. Also baths, some one rubbing every know and then when I needed help between appts - my chiropractor showed my hubby how and where to do this. For the best effect), sitting on a birthing ball(rocking front and back, sideways, circles and figure 8's) They both also showed me some stretches to do daily.
