Subchorionic Hemotoma

I'm just wondering how common this is? And what the healthy delivery/baby success rate was?

About me: 25 years old and currently 8 weeks 1 day pregnant with baby number 3. I have a 4yo and an 8yo.

We spent all day yesterday in the ER for some light bleeding/spotting and cramping I've been experiencing for the last week. After lots of blood work, urine tests and an US we were told that the bleeding I've been experiencing was due to what is called a Subchrionic Hemmotoma/Hemorrhage. This being my third pregnancy and something I've NEVER heard of, am I obviously freaking out. So I'm looking to hear about other mommies experiences and stories who have also gone through/are going through this in their pregnancy.

I had one with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies. With my 2nd I bled heavily for 4 weeks, like bright red gushes. With my 3rd I had spotting for 3 weeks or so. Both pregnancies progressed normally

I had one at 9 weeks. It was gushing and with huge clots. I was put on bedrest till week 18 thats when I stopped bleeding. They usually heal by week 20. Im now 31.5 weeks and baby is fine.

Yes I bled for 2 weeks or so. At first they thought it was a blighted ovum or twin

Very common.  I had one with my second, and a bigger one with my third.  Both cleared up on their own, my daughter was perfectly healthy, and I'm 22 weeks now.  Both cleared up by my 12/13 week USs.

This gives me some more reassurance. Thank you! :)

I had one that started bleeding quite a bit at 7 weeks, it was small (but seriously bled as much as a period) and everything I read said with a small SCH the chances of miscarriage were 1-2%. It is the most common finding when doing an ultrasound for bleeding. I bled for several days but am now 15w5d and haven't had any bleeding since about 8 weeks.

This is very common 9/10 pregnant women get this. I had it with my current pregnancy (my 1st) and I'm 30 weeks fully healthy, I bled with my hematoma from week 8-13, but my bleeding was really strong and the flow was really heavy, I almost lost the baby.

But the bleeding stopped on its own, due to the weight of the growing fetus, the hemorage just collasped, the docter said. It was the scariest thing to ever happen to me, I know how you feel, but everything will be okay! Try and not stress b/c that makes the bleeding worsen, I was also on pelvic rest during my bleeding and on light duty and no lifting at work.

My docter told me that I could also hemorrage again, closer to my due date.
