So I have come across a girls name that I really really like. My 2nd cousin who lives in AZ has named her daughter something similar. She moved out there years ago and Ive never met her kids so the odds of the two of them even coming in contact is next to slim to none. We live in Wisconsin.
She named her daughter Amelie (ah-mee-lee) - the french pronunciation of Emily
and I like Amaleigh (ah-ma-lee)
Are they too similar? We aren't super close, but if this was something you were considering would you run it by her before choosing this name.

That I tricky one I would say if you two are not close why worry but on the other hand why bother trouble by bringing it up to her give your daughter the name that you feel is best for her and don't worry what others think
