What does a contraction feel like? What area of your body feels it? I'm almost 22 weeks, I'm sitting down and I felt some kind of feeling shoot through my upper vag muscles, deep inside my body, I feel like it was in the area close to my cervix. It was quick, like snap-your-fingers. Haven't felt that sensation before, so I'm wondering what it is.
I think that could be some growing pains. For me, contractions are hard/intense dull-ish aches right on my cervix. You could be feeling little cervical twinges from baby moving their hear or feet around.
I had back labor so a real contraction for me felt like really intense back pain wrapping around to my stomach and everything got REALLY tight and would take my breath away.
Ok. A lot of the other women due around my time are starting to talk about feeling contractions on a regular basis, and I thought maybe I was about to also. Kinda glad to not be in that group so far, lol. It felt a muscle spasm deep inside an area where I never feel anything, caught me off guard.
Either growing pains or baby kicked your cervix :) Mine does that all the time and it hurts and feels so weird! To me BH contractions feel like my abdomen is tightening and lasts about a minute and slowly releases, real contractions for me start in my low back and slowly wrap around the front and are really low. Intense menstral cramps is the way they are most often described!
I never felt contractions near my cervix. They were all up higher and wrapped around the front.
