Question: Do you make your young kids [potty trained age] use the bathroom before leaving the house when you go places [or run errands]?

If you have other children [that are potty trained] do you make them use the restroom before going anywhere? I always make my 4 y/o ds and 6 y/o sd go to the bathroom before leaving the house. That way they're not bugging me to use the restroom as soon as we get in the car or to our destination. Any other mommy's do that or do you just go with the flow? (literally lol)

With my niece - "BUT I DONT HAAAAAAVE TO" then after we leave for 5 minutes " I DIDNT NEED TO THEN BUT I GOTA GO.NAAAOOOOOW"

The screaming whine makes it worse

When my kids tell me they don't need to go, I tell them to go anyway. Then they go to the bathroom and I can hear them tinkeling. lol They ALWAYS need to go whether they realize it or not!

no i pick my battles and my DD who is almost 4yrs is really good about telling me she has to go before it is an emergancy. in the beegining of pottytraining i did but not any more.
