Have a yeast infection. Can I use over the counter meds? Tmi.

 I had one in early pregnancy and was told either Monistat 7 or Clotrimazole 7.

But you have to make sure its the 7 day dose :) -thats why the 7 is on the end of those 2 medications :)

Yep..my doc always told me to get the monistat 7 day treatment, not the 1 day treatment as it is too strong. GL- those are rough!!!

P.S. Are you having a boy? I had them terrible when I was pregnant with my DS but not one w/ my DD.

Thank you guys. I have been on 3 antibiotics. Bad tooth infection. Even had iv antibiotics. I'm 17 weeks. Find out on the 16th the gender. So excited.

My doctor gave me a prescription for a 3 day treatment and I just finished last night and I feel like I have a brand new vigina lol (sorry if it's tmi). I say talk to your doctor

You can do garlic cloves in that area for three nights and eats lots of yogurt. Take the garlic clove peal it and I put a few score lines with a knife. Then put a sting through it so you can easily pull it out. Do this for three nights in a row.

Yes OTC meds most the time are safe, like the creams, I used Monistat 7, but also going to the doctor and just having them prescribe something is always best.
