Update 7-23-12 Joseph is home! Peanut has arrived! Follow up on water break at 14 weeks and 5 days!

7-23-12: today was Joseph's expected due date :-) he is now 13 weeks and one day old. BIG NEWS!!!! Joseph came home in yesterday, 7-22-12. He is 7lbs and 8oz.
Update 6-15-12
Today I would have been 34 weeks and 4 days pregnant (WOW)! This coming Sunday Joseph will be eight weeks old! His last weigh in (two days ago...maybe one day ago) was 4lbs and 5.91oz!!! There are no IVs, no ventillators, and no isollete! My boo boo is in an open crib and wearing clothes! He is holding his own body temp and breathing very nicely all on his own. He is still using oxygen and learning to feed out of a bottle and breast feed :-)

6-1-12

Joseph is doing very well, he is truly my miracle baby! As of Tuesday he was 3lbs and 13oz....three more oz and he will be 4lbs! (YAYAYAYAYA). My little BIG man is getting chubby cheeks and filling out more and more each day! ***A NEW PICTURE WILL BE POSTED IN THE REPLIES!!!!****

He is now off the ventilator and on a vaporizor nasal cannula (oxygen only) HE IS BREATHING ON HIS VERY OWN!

Once he make four pounds and has been stable on the nasal cannula for about a week the discussion of moving him to an open bed (out of the incubator) and bottle/breast feeding can be opened (YAYAYAYAYAY BABY!) I am one excited mommy.

Soon my second little boy will be home and I am so VERY thankful for all the support and prayers.  If any of you ladies know a mommy that is experiencing a high risk pregnancy and would like support/a listening ear/etc please share my story with her and give her my email, t.s.green04@gmail.com!!!!

Update:  5/11/12

Joseph is doing pretty good.  Each day is a blessing for my little fighter.  As of last Tuesday he had reached his birth weight of 2lbs and 6oz!  His feedings have been moved to 11cc's every three hours.  His skin is looking lots better and he is filling out.  He is on the ventilator vs. the oscillatior (YAY).  His breathing is coming along, those little lungs are trying to heal.  He has his wake patterns now.  He keeps his eyes open and looking around during his wake periods.  HE IS ADORABLE!  He is a fighter (literally) he fights with the nurses and me o_O when it comes to diaper change and cold baby wipes (lol).  He fights with his lung tubing (can not really blame him there).  The doctors have said that if he pulls it out they will attempt (try) him on the CPAP (we are hoping he does not pull it out - not just yet!)  I will keep you posted.

I made it to 26 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy. 

I am breastfeeding (pumping and proviving milk).

Joseph has gone down with his oxygen requirement!

 

UPDATE 4-26-12: Peanut (Joseph Landon) arrived into the world on 22 April 2012 at 0759. IT HAS BEEN ONE HELL OF A LONG PREGNANCY JOURNEY AND WORTH EVERY MOMENT!!!!!! <3. Joseph is perfect. He weighed in at 2lbs and 6oz and 12.5 inches long!!!! AWESOME!!!!! He is in NICU and is fighting like a true champ for survival. The extra artery in his lungs is now gone (yay). His heart is now functioning at the level it should (yeah buddy)! He was treated for jaundice, those levels are on the decline. He is able to regulate his insulin and b/p levels, without the help of meds!!!! His lungs are still really weak:-( he is on the oscillator to assist in his breathing. The hope is to get him to a place of health that he can come off the oscillator and on to a less aggressive breathing treatment.Joseph opened his eyes for the first time last night! Today he appeared to be dreaming, intervals of frowns and smiles.He reacts to stimuli! He knows my voice, how do I know, because I am mommy and I feel and see the connection :-)I have a picture of me and his brother in the bed :-). He has a hand made blanket covering his bed, keeping down stimuli. He also has a bear in his bed.He is tooooooo cute! He is a mix of me and his dad as of now. We have a long battle ahead of us and we are ready to fight it out. Joseph is amazingly strong and has an amazing will to fight.Keep us in your positive thoughts and prayers!!!!! Pic coming :-)
