I have been told lying on your back after 20 weeks is bad for the baby because they can lay on the cord and will receieve less blood flow. I find that when I wake up during the night or in the morning I am on my back. It makes me feel terrible and scared! I sit and I wait for her to move to make sure everything is fine. :|

I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. A trick I used in my first two pregnancies to help keep me on my side (for the most part) was to put a pillow between my knees and hug a second pillow. I was more comfortable that way and I usually stayed on my side. I don't think waking up on your back is discouraged until the third trimester....?
If you're comfortable, it's not doing any harm. 20 weeks isn't a magic number. You can lay in any position you like.. as long as you aren't feeling discomfort. If you aren't feeling comfy, then you could cause harm by continuing to lay a certain way.
You can even sleep on belly and back at 40 weeks- if you feel comfortable and relaxed doing it.
I am in the 3rd trimester. Ill be 32 weeks on Saturday.

Well I didn't know that. Like pp said, as long as you are comfortable, you should be okay. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor about it.
Your body will turn when it needs to and it will not lay on your back if it is to uncomfortale. Heck with all my girls I would always wake up on my back. Even in the end.
