I'm 37 weeks and have been having bad contractions and back pain mainly at night. Last night they were about 5 minutes apart and lasted a couple hours but then I fell asleep. I've already had 2 false alarms so I'd rather not go to the hospital unless I'm really sure it's time. This morning I woke up and the contractions are about 7-8 minutes apart and not as bad but my back pain is still there.
What gives? Anyone else have nighttime contractions? As of this past Wednesday I was dilated to 1.5 cm and 60% effaced.

Dehydrated? Position you are sleeping in? Increased activity during the day?

Oxytocin levels are higher at night so it's common to have more contractions then.
