When do you start "feeling pregnant"?

I'm sure this has been posted here before, so sorry if this is a double post. I'm just at 6 weeks pregnant now and I am wondering when I will actually start feeling pregnant? I took 2 @ home tests last Sunday and both came back positive almost instantly. One was with a sign that had a very faint horizontal line and a very dark and solid vertical line and the other was a digital read out that came up "pregnant" before I even had my pants pulled up LOL. The following day I went to Planned Parenthood to get it "confirmed". They gave me another urine test and it came back positive as well, and from what the nurse told me it came up almost instantly. I have no nausea, no weird cravings. If it wasn't for the fact that I am missing my period, my nipples are sore and I'm constipated to high heavens (lol) I don't think I'd believe it. I've been getting very mild cramping since I missed my period. Before I took the HPT's I kept insisting I was going to get my period because of the mild cramping. I'm being told this is normal. My doctor won't see me until I get insurance, so I have an appointment Friday to see if I qualify for state insurance. Should I set up an appointment at PPH in the mean time? I mean PPH told me doctors don't usually do a first visit until 8 weeks anyways. This is my first pregnancy and I'm just very confused!

Don't worry. Every pregnancy is different. I never had morning sickness with my first two, this time I've had it like crazy! I'd not worry about it, but i would start taking prenatal vitamins, drinking water, and pampering yourself a little but if you can, like go to bed early, etc. As soon as you get approved or get temporary coverage (which u what my state does for prego ladies) you can go see a doctor. Also, I'd apply for WIC.if you qualify. They can also give you helpful tips as well as some extra nutritious food. Congrats and good luck!

i hate you so bad! lol just kidding. Every pregnancy is different. I started feeling pregnant when I started getting sick morning, noon, and night---and every five minutes in between. Yeah, I was that lady. LOL

Agree with LiDoMama about WIC..most docs won't see you until 8 weeks so you're fine in that area...just make an appointment with your ob/gyn and don't worry about PPH or getting in somewhere right away.Take your prenatals though starting now. Congrats and good luck!

Pretty much what the others said....with my first I had NO morning sickness, not even nausea - every one is different...I felt pregnant after I heard the heartbeat and then it kinda hits you =D gave me some relief to make sure baby was okay

Thanks guys for such quick answers!!! IDK maybe I'm just a "Nervous Nancy" because this is my first pregnancy and I don't know what to expect!! LOL I bought some OTC prenatals that PPH suggested and have been taking them -- any tips for constipation? LOL My DH and I have been TTC for 3 years, so I just think in my mind I won't be "satisfied" per say until I hear the heart beat or see this little peanut on a monitor, just want to make sure everything is going good in there! It all just seems so unreal right now! I have a ton of friends here that are trying to tell me things are okay because they've been through it, but IDK it's just not the same as hearing it from a doctor -- although I'm sure they're right!

I had a few mild symptoms right when my period was missed, like sore breasts.  he sickness kicked in around 8 wks, and was gone by 14.   This pregnancy is a little different from my last. I seem to feel nauseous, but don't actually throw up. The kicks started around 20 wks for both pregs for me.

I wouldn't worry about having to wait till 8 wks.  All they really do early on is take your weight and blood pressure, maybe coach you a little on what you should and shouldn't eat.   It's good so they have a starting wight & BP, but the visits will get more interesting as  you get further along. Sometimes they show you a quick ultrasound at 8 weeks so you can see the heartbeat, but 20 wks is when you get the real one where you see everything.

Congratulations, and happy mothers day!

Thanks again! I just really want to make sure things are okay in there!! I wish I had like x-ray vision so I could see what's going on!! LOL I'm hoping they give me a quick u/s because I REALLY want to see! I'm a bundle of emotions, I'm excited and nervous, I cry at the stupidest things, LOL. I hope I stay morning/noon/night sicknes free! There's somethings that upset my stomach (like cucumbers, and that makes me sad) and people who smoke (luckily hubby smokes outside and I still constantly tell him he stinks) lol. Other then that, I don't feel any different now then I did 2 months ago, lol!
