Whag rides are "ok" im 16weeks and
Was thinking about taking my 3yr old on some rides like the tea cups, and merry mixer. So they seem like they would be ok? I don't get jolted or anything the only thing I get is butterfly's sometimes and if the teacups spin really fast i kinda get that suction feeling if you know what I mean lol

I'm pretty sure ALL amusement parks state at the entrance, if not at every ride, that pregnant women should not ride the rides. In any case, why not ask your doctor? I, personally, don't think it is worth the risk but that is JMO.

Honestly, I didn't read what anyone else wrote but my 2 cents is that you shouldn't really go on any of them. I do think that the swings are okay and maybe some of the kiddie rides that aren't fast or jolting. I'd even suggest staying away from the giant pirate ship ride because the amount of g-force could be harmful. Basically the kiddie rides that they'll let babies and toddlers ride are okay. The fun slide? you can do that.

The park that I'm talking about is Knobels in Pa.

we are taking our kids to dutch wonderland next week im 21 weeks and will not be going on any rides it makes me sad.but not a risk im going to take

i live like a half hour from there!!!!!!!!!!! and been there, and those rides are 100% safe for you to get on...now there are two rollar coasters, and the tilt a whirl that you may not want to get on, but other then that you should be okay.

The worry if from the jolting around from what I've heard. It can cause placental abruption, where the placenta detaches from the uteran walls and can cause bleeding and other problems. I have no idea if the g-force rides are bad.

I actually do think it would be safe and ok. But I was just not sure why they say rides are not safe. Is it because you get whipped around (I don't on these rides) is it because of the lap belts? (these rides dont have lap belts) or is it because of suction (that would be my only worry) i mean i get more jolted around riding the tram from the park to the car then I do on these rides.

As a mother, the first sign of maybe I shouldnt do it, is asking if its ok.. Its a sign of worry, and natural instinct. You answered your own question by asking lol.

I LOVE spinning rides so I think if you can ride them without vomiting you should be OK. lol. You should avoid rides that are too jerky though- like most rollercoasters or bumber cars. Most spinning rides are OK if you can stomach them.

Well when I was younger and pregnant I went on some rides just day's before having a scheduled C-section, luckily, because the rides flipped the baby all different directions and wrapped the umbilical cord around his neck. :( the doctor said it was lucky I went in for the C-section when I did. He attributed this to the rides. Being older now I look back and cringe that I went on those rides. Thank God he was okay.
