Update...posted a new "blog" on miss tay's page. We saw a new Pedatrician this week just had to let everyone know what he said about her. :)

I posted a few new pics and a video as well as a blog on her website. Check it out if ya have a second. Www.gofundme.com/misstay

We found out at 19 weeks that my dd had severe hydrocephalus, were advised to terminate because and this is a direct quote "your baby has no brain, it will die in utero or shortly after birth, and if it should live will have no quality of life"
Just want to put this out there so if any other parents are facing similar situations they know there is support and help available. Read more here

sorry cant make it clicky...im on mobile.

Her's IS pretty bad, if you look on the first page here there is a pic of what should be her brain but is all fluid. Luckily, the Dr's prognosis was WAY off. I have some information to take to that doctor so the next time he diagnoses someone's child with this he can direct them to a group of people for help, support, and advice.
Thanks :) i couldnt imagine doing anything differently.

I checked out your story! Your baby is SO BEAUTIFUL!! WOW!! So I am guessing that her condition is nowhere NEAR as bad as the Drs. told you? IDK WHY ppl take what the "Dr" says as gospel! I have had quite a few friends who were told that their child would be born with some sort of birth defect--from Downs syndrome, to Hydrocephaly! In each case, the babies were all born perfectly normal! I totally commend you and your DH for choosing to continue your pregnancy! YOU GUYS ROCK!! CONGRATS on your precious baby!! :  )

I guess I should have said that the Drs. prognosis was way off from what your DD was born with. I'm sure you and your DH are still very glad you chose NOT to abort your precious, beautiful little girl!

Yeah, thats about it. He was very doom and gloom, i cried so hard for weeks. Even now its hard to say how she will do down the line, one bad seizure or one malfunction could throw her way off where she is now...but i wouldnt change her for the world. Her neurologist, neurosuergon and the therapists are optimistic at the moment...but we are pretty sure the seizures will increase rather than decrease due to all the damage done. This is where mama is hoping the stem cells did their jobs!

Thanks! She has already surprised us a lot...and continues to every day. Staying strong isn't so hard right now when she is well but every surgery she has to have and every test that needs run....thats when being strong is hard, the waiting on results for said tests is hard also. Like now, when we are waiting to hear from genetics.

If that is a human with 'no brain' then I must be a flying pig.

She's adorable by the way, momma. I'm so happy to hear she's doing well! :)
