does a history of early labor make it more likely for another early baby?

I'm just curious if a history of early labor makes it more likely you'll have another early baby.

My first was born @ 33 weeks, I had been in labor since 26 weeks and they stopped it twice. My water broke @ 33 weeks. Was in the hospital for 8hrs after that, didn't dilate past a 4, she went into distress and I had an emergency c-section.

With my second I almost lost her at the beginning, had to take protozoan (spelling?) shots everyday.  Towards the end though everything went well for the most part. Was not  candidate for vbac so she was a c-section also. Doc scheduled it for 37weeks because of my medical history.

This is my 3rd. I'm 29wks 3days. Been having contractions almost all day long, for 3 days now. They are getting stronger each day. Like I said almost all day long. They'll stop for like maybe half an hour throughout the day then pick up again. It freaking hurts. Belly hard, back hurts. But today it's kinda scaring me. Feeling the urge to push with some of the stronger ones. And I just went to the bathroom and I've lost part of my mucus plug. (I know it can re-grow I started losing it with my first early).  I have other kids so I can't just sit there and time the contractions or nothing, let alone since it's prob nothing to worry about. I tried to time them a bit yesterday and they were like 10min apart lasting almost a min each. Today it's more like 6- 7min apart lasting about a min each also.   (I had bh earlier in the pregnancy and those were 4min, for a few hours, then went away...to haunt me another day lol). But these ones arn't really going away and they feel like real ones at least to me.   Plus my SO basically told me to sit and relax all day yesterday and today, and I've been in the AC and drinking tons of water, so it's not like I'm over exerting myself or dehydrated (both can cause BH).

So I'm just curious if my history of early labor makes it more likely that this baby will come early too. Oh doc said at my last appt that everything looks great, and to just try and relax and take it easy for the rest of this pregnancy. My next appt isn't until the 20th, then he's putting me on every 2wk ones. He's not in the office till monday, and their phone line (for the answering service to have a nurse call you) is all messed up.  I'm assuming because it's storming really bad. The hospitals 40min away and I'm not about to call a babysitter to pay them to sit here with my kids, while SO drives me all the way to the hospital in this weather for something thats prob. nothing. So just answer my original question please...does having one kid come early raise the odds that another kid might come early too?

Yes it does. And if youare having more then 4 contractions in an hour for safety sake you need to go in or St least call your ob. Better safe then sorry. I really think you should probably make the drive and go in hun. I know its a pain but it might be needed.

Yes it does, but my last lo came at 33 weeks and I'm now 39 weeks and still no sigh of this baby coming. I have also been contacting on and of for about 2 months or more. The doctors say I have an irritable womb.
