Most christian movies are cheaply made, money isnt what gets the point of the story accross, the story does. I agree with that but i love the moral

Quoting LoveOfWisdom:

We have our moments, and are by no means perfect. The lesson in the movie is a good one, but I agree, the movie itself was horrible.  I had a hard time watching it because it was so cheesy.  I don't know if it was the acting or the production or both.

I think I would recommend the book before the movie

Quoting Mom2Just1:

I watched it and thought it was stupid.  I am sorry.  My marriage though is very happy and healthy.

Yeah but it can be difficult to receive the message when the acting/production is so bad.  Again, I would recommend the book over the film.  Or at least watch it for free.

I did not like the movie, but we really enjoyed the 'fireproof' devotional.

i also want to add that YES, the movie could have been more in depth. it was kind of slow, and mostly pointed out things that were common sense. i wish it was more in depth on the marriage issues they had, and everyone else has. they just covered basics, they didn't dig deep.

the Love Dare book, if anything is more helpful than the movie. the book is awesome, and really digs into your and your spouse's brain and makes you ask yourselves questions that need to be answered.

I don't believe in religion or "God" in a religious sense at all.

That being said I doubt this movie would do me any good.

We've had our bad times for sure, but God has no place in it.  For me it is a question of commitment.  When you love someone you make it work, even though it is hard.  Marriage is not easy, love is not easy.  It is hard and it hurts.  That doesn't mean you give up and walk away.  You fight to stay together.  You grow and change and keep accepting each other.

Can you show me where I claimed that?  It was a crappy movie that really had no point to it.
