My baby's dad has noticed how I'm on cafemom all the time, and how much I love it! i've gotten so much help, advice and support from all you amazing women and more importantly just to be able to talk about the small stuff with people I can relate to. He's been looking for a site that offers the same sort of environment for expecting dads and has been drawing a blank. he found one forum called brandnewdad and didn't get any replies to posts, and it seems like a lot of people haven't even made posts for years. One of my favorite things about this site is that there's new posts, updates and members everyday and things are always interesting! Do any of your husbands, significant others, or baby's dads use or know of any sites where he can get a similar experience? The fact that we're not together I think makes it hard for him and since he's not carrying the baby himself he obviously gets less attention and support as I do. He's excited to be a dad but also has a lot of questions and fears that I can't really answer because I don't exactly understand from his point of view. Any tips or places he can go to get some good advice and talk to other dads?
thanks from both of us and I hope you're all having a great day!
There are a couple sites like Cafemom but for guys. I can't remember what they were called, though.
that's how we feel! Of course the woman will get the most attention seeing as she's the one who's pregnant. But men are experiencing the pregnancy too! And I think he feels really alone because he doesn't have anyone who truly understands what he's going through and can't receive the same kind of support us women do on sites like this. So I just thought I'd try to help him out because I really think he could benefit mentally and emotionally from hearing about other fears and hopes and everything that comes with being an expecting dad. Even books are hard to find!
oh cool, I'll go check that out! thanks :) Do you know of any sites that are like..membership based like this one? that have different groups and all that fun stuff?
so as far as the mens health forum described earlier in the post, it was a hit with Matt. If any of you would like to forward that info to your men the link for the forum itself is:
