The main thing that has helped me would be to drink milk! I get heartburn sooo bad, the fire in the throat kind! Try drinking a glass of milk before you lay down.

Also, I know it is safe to take TUMS, which taste awful, but they do help! Just dont take more than recommended in a day! Another trick, Im not sure if it actually worked for me, but I have had many others tell me it did for them, but drink a little bit of pickle juice! For some that is nasty, lol, me being the pickel freak I am I love it. Last but not least, dont forget to always give your food time to diguest before you lay down to go to bed, as that can make it worse if you dont! If you do get it while you are in bed, prop your head up some, and turn to your left side.

:) hope I could be of some help! Good luck, and myth be told, heartburn means your baby will have hair! :D

The walmart brand of tums aren't bad at all... Even drinking water gives me heart burn.

I got a tip of eating an apple..or even just a few wedges...and its helped me so much. I have never had to deal with heartburn before pregnancy but all of a sudden its been INSANE but this has been helping. Oh and the walmart brand of tums its true the berry ones I actually kinda like...but again my taste buds are a little wacky right now X-).

I like the orange ones. They're not that chalky.

Tell your doc-mine prescribed prilosec and last time it was pepcid. Life-saver plus sleep with your head elevated, milk, cheese, yogurt can help

The only thing that helps my awful heartburn is OTC Zantac.

Hope you feel better!
