what do they feel like? i know menstral cramps but im trying to figure out if im having them...

Yep, just feels like your whole belly gets super tight for a few seconds, then releases. Mine didn't hurt at all until my water had broken.

It would be easier if you describe what you are feeling since everyone experiences it differently. And after 30 combined hours of natural labor. I still couldn't tell you what a contraction really feels like.

With my first I had contractions on and off for two weeks. They felt like strong period cramps. From my lower back to the front.
My second I didn't have a single contraction until her due date. And the ones I had with her were so intense and strong. Like someone lit my insides on fire and twisted my abdomen.

I alwayst hink they felt like a big rubber band on my tummy.
