no ob will take me

Don't send them your records ahead of time. Get your records in hand. Call an office to see if they take your insurance. Tell them you just moved here, you are 28 weeks pregnant, and you need to see an OB. Because you have a hematoma, you may need a hospital with a level 3 NICU, so see if you can locate one of those. Do a bit of research online. If you can't find an OB, would you be willing to see a Midwife? They wont give you as many problems with being seen.

 are you sure these offices are even taking new patients? That's the only reason I would think they wouldn't take you. I wouldn't send records ahead of time, you need to speak with someone first. You can always go into planned parenthood or call them and see if they will see you, they usually don't turn people away. Have you tried a midwife?

Check your insurance website, they should have a list of doctors that states whether they're currently accepting new patients or not.

I would check first that they take your insurance.  If so, I would then ask if they are taking new patients, and then show up with your records in hand.  Another thing you could try too, I would try finding a midwife or a family doctor, and I would make an appointment with them.  And, then, I would have them refer you on to an OB.  Good luck!

I had the same issue..I have history of dvt and pulmonary emboli and need blood thinning shots while pregnant..had a subchoronic hematoma this pregnancy and hypothyroid and no one would take me..I was seen on post where we live but they were idiots...Luckily I tried one last place and they happen to have two Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists..So thats who I see instead of a OBGYN..I love love love my doctor.

I would say call the hospital nearest you that you want to deliver at and ask for a referral to a high risk obgyn. They should be able to give you a list. A lot of high risk dr may take you when a regular Ob won't. Or you can always walk into any emergency room for pain and they will evaluate and treat you and most times they will have a referral for follow up care with one of their ob's if you don't have your own.

Certain midwifes do take medi-cal.

Last I checked Planned Parenthood only does gyne care up to the point of you having a positive pregnancy test.

 not sure... never been except for BC, just giving her options....maybe they can refer her
