Did you/are you settling on your babys name?

My first son is named Mason Sawyer. I LOVED the name Sawyer and to this day regret not putting my foot down and naming him Sawyer as his first name. So now I'm 3 weeks away from my due date with baby boy 2 and I feel I'm settling again. We had lists and lists and of all the names I loved it came down to Myles Asher. Is okayyyy but I don't LOVE it. My hubby is refusing to change his mind and my 4 year old is already settled into calling his baby brother Myles. So if I like the name should I just shush or should I fight? I love different names

I just feel :/ about the name but then again nothing else really sticks out enough yet. I just am nervous I'm going to meet him and he's not a Myles and I settled...maybe it's just cuz I'm on my last couple weeks?

1 mom liked this

I settled on my son's middle name because my family all thought the middle name I liked was too weird, and would be "Setting him up for a career in porn." His name was supposed to be Cooper Cox, but it's Cooper Elliott. I liked Elliott as a first name for if we had another boy, and I'm pregnant with baby number 2, so if it's a boy I don't know what I'm going to do now. I literally caved about his name as we filled out the birth certificate.

I think you should pick a name you love, that your husband can agree with.

We both agreed 100% on his name before we even got our BFP. We had agreed on girl name too... We're lucky that we both have the same taste :) I know its not so easy for some couples.

I say since you caved on your older ds's name, its time for hubby to compromise on this one.

Grey-Maybe As A Middle Name
Porter-I like it
Leighton/Layton-Don't Like It
Lincoln-It's a nice name
Emmett-I like it
Holdon-It's Alright
Addler-I don't like it as a first name but maybe as Middle name?

We played with different names if it was going to be a girl, but we were very firm about what we were going to name our baby if it was a boy(since he is the first grandson in the family) we are naming him after my SO's father who passed in 01.

I had to settle on the middle name. We never agreed on a first name until I was in labor. So it was hard enough and df decided it would be a good idea to give our son his middle name ( his siblings middle name/ moms maiden name) I was like fine because its not like I have any ideas.

I would talk to your DH about it more!  Don't feel like you have to just settle on a name when it's your baby too.  I really like Lincoln!

We pick names before conception so ours are picked and ready! We didn't settle, we both had to like and agree on the names.

I kinda sorta settled on my DD's name, I made a list of about 5 names I liked and It was my least favorite out of them but the only one my husband liked!! LOL but she is beautiful and her name suits her :) My son however I knew his name the day I found out I was pregnant (i have always been able to predict my children's gender) and I didn't let my husband have a say but he liked it too but would prefer having a JR which I was not into at all. This baby will be a girl (im 99% sure) and I have her name picked out already!

I'm 21 weeks today, and dh and I have had names picked out for about 3 years now.  Our son's name is Michael Reese (we will call him Reese), so we are settled!

I know what you mean. My husband and I battle over names lol. I feel like you. I cannot settle on the name I need to love it and I need to feel like it IS this baby's name, not just a name we liked/picked.

Our daughter took us until 8ish months Lena Kathleen Louise

Our son took us about 20mins lol Alexander David Rafael

This baby we have a first name but the middle name(s) the problem. I like Rosalie McKenna Marie, my husband likes Rosalee... and thats it lol. I feel like her name is Rosalie McKenna Marie and I think he will give in by the time she is born lol.
