I went to the doctor and he called in a prescription of prenatal vitamins for me. When I went to pick them up, there was also a prescription for iron pills. Is this normal to take during pregnancy, or do you only take it if you have an iron deficiency? I never took them when I was pregnant with my oldest and my doc. didn't say anything to me about it.
It's normal, but usually means you have an iron deficiency (which is super common).

They can constipate you so make sure to battle that with other foods

Yea, that's what I was thinking, because I have never heard of a pregnant woman taking them, unless they had an iron deficiency. I wish my doctor would have told me >:(
