Can anybody tell me why when your pregnant or get pregnant that you have to take your pearcing out b/c my doctor told me I had to but never told me why..If anyone knows please tell me

I imagine any piercings below the belt should come out for hygienic and safety concerns during labor. Your doctor can pretty much ask you to remove anything like that, that they don't feel comfortable with in the labor room. Some places want tongue rings out, too, as a policy.
