Any ideas on how to get the started?

I tried my breast pump a little but it didn't really do much other than make my nipples sore.

Same thing happened with my last pregnancy. I really don't want pitocin!

Well many women don't start contractions till 10+ hours after water breaks

Did you stay home or go to hospital already?

Walk
Dance
Shower with nipple stimulating from so/dh

Checked for what?

There is no need to go in immediately unless I am having bad contractions.

My contractions never started after my water broke even after hours of walking at the mall across from the hospital and pitocin.  Some times it doesn't so you need to go to the hospital to be checked I ended up with an emergency c section so it is better to go early.

I wouldn't go in as soon as you get there you are on their time table

There is nothing they CAN do for you till your contractions start other than pump you full of meds

As long as the water is clear there's no need to immediately head to the hospital.

My contractions started about 4 hours after my water broke. Remember to drink a lot of water to help replenish since you're losing amniotic fluid. I just kept walking until I had a contraction then headed to the hospital because my births are quick. But before contractions I would wait.

Good luck!
