I've been having contractions all day long!! They started out pretty mild and they are now starting to hurt a little more but they aren't getting closer together or anything. Is this just my body preparing or could I be headed toward the real thing?

If they have been consitant it could be the real thing. How far along are you?

My due date is on Saturday, so 39 weeks 5 days.

It definitely could be your body gearing up for the real thing. I would just keep an eye on them and if they seem like there getting closer together then start timing them.

Both of my labors were irregular. One labor was every 5-12 minutes, lasting 1-4 mins for 18 hours. One was every 4mins-4hrs lasting 2-6min long for 22 hours.
