I was having my first ob appointment for pregnancy number two, going through the annoying steps of pelvic and breast exams, when my dr noticed a swollen lymphnode just above my left breast, which prompted a more extra thorough exam. Lower in the left breast is an abnormal lump. Not something I want to hear while already being treated for a life long disease, and expecting a baby in approximately 36 weeks with a toddler at home.
I have a breast ultrasound with diagnostics on Tuesday. I am, of course, scared. My husband keeps telling me I'll be fine, which is nice, but also his standard answer. Sometimes I wish he would just hold me and say nothing at all.
Well, they found a large lymphnode, but no breast mass. The radiologist is concerned because typically the gland that is swollen doesn't typically swell without a problem, and wants a left breast mammogram. This cannot be done until baby is born. So in about 35 weeks I'll know more.
